I have a 2007 SP1 exchange server with all roles installed on single server.
In an effort to provide disaster recovery / failover I installed an E2K7
CCR cluster and attached to the primary server.
All was well for several months and then all of the equipment at the physical
site was destroyed. I am left with the E2K7 CCR object in Active Directory
and I can't remove it.
I have tried to re-create the CCR on new hardware using the same naming conventions
used by the original but the installation fails saying the object already
exists.
If I delete the E2K7 CCR object using ADSI edit is there any other cleanup
required? Is there a better process to recover this?

Best Regards

You could create another cluster, then use setup.exe /recovercms /cmsname
<name of cms> /cmsipaddress <IP address of CMS> to move the cms to new
hardware. Alternately, If you don't want the CMS, you could remove the
object from AD
