I am migrating two Exchange clusters (one E2K3, one E2K7) to a new NetApp
filer.

On the E2K7 cluster, I created a cluster group for MSDTC because the BPA
said it was required. I have now read that DTC is not required for Exchange
2007 and that it was a bug in the Exchange BPA. Can I simply delete that
MSDTC cluster group fron mt Exchange 2007 cluster?

On the Exchange 2003 cluster, I have migrated all the cluster groups except
the MSDTC group. (I do not have DTC as part of the quorum group.) Do I need
to migrate the disk resource for that group, or do I need to delete that
cluster group and create a new MSDTC cluster group using a lun on the new
filer? If I need to migrate the drive, how do I do that? Does MSDTC use
whatever disk resource is in that group, or does it need the same drive
letter?

Thank you very much for your help.

Logan .. I would take the resource offline and leave it offline for a day or
so and then remove it. It is not needed my Exchange 2007 Cluster.

Some times thirdparty apps installed on the server requires it.
