Hello Guys,
I have an Exchange environment like this:
SERVER-MB-01: 10.220.46.40 - Mailbox Role
SERVER-MB-02: 10.220.46.41 - Mailbox Role
Two Network adapters:
LAN - PROD (MAPI and Replication) 10.250.53.22
LAN - BKP (Backup Network) 10.220.46.40
I have an DAG environment like this:
Get-DatabaseAvailability
DAG1 - Member (SERVER-MB-01, SERVER-MB-02)
Get-DatabaseAvailabilityNetwork
DAG1\DAGNETWORK01 -
10.220.44.0/22,Partitioned
MapiAccessEnabled : False
ReplicationEnabled : False
IgnoreNetwork : False
Identity : DAG1\DAGNETWORK01
IsValid : True
DAG1\Production -
10.250.53.0/24,Up
MapiAccessEnabled : True
ReplicationEnabled : True
IgnoreNetwork : False
Identity : DAG1\Production
IsValid : True
I use the Netbackup tool to perform Exchange backup that is on my backup network, I am trying to add the backup ip in the DAG for the backup to be able to identify the name GIMBADAG, Im using the CMdlet below:
Set-DatabaseAvailabilityGroup -Identity DAG1 -DatabaseAvailabilityGroupIpAddresses 10.250.53.24,10.220.46.42
Where 10.250.53.24 is the production IP to dag1 and 10.220.46.42 is the backup ip to dag.
My problem is: By the production IP this works fine, but when I try to set up the backup IP does not working, it does not add on the failover cluster. My workaround was manually add the IP 10.220.46.42 on the network adapter as an additional ip on server SERVER-MB-01, but when the server is shut down I lose communication with the backup network and the cluster does not direct backup IP to another node.
Someone can help me with that? where I am missing?
Thank you
João Giordan
