Setting a static address in the host file will resolve the
problem. In the near future the server IP maybe changed
so a permenant solution would be ideal. Can someone advise a solution
that would minimize further changes to the network.
It would help a lot to know your version & SP level of everything
...Exchange, Outlook, Windows, plus what's going on with your network
that DNS name resolution is not working properly. I'm assuming you're
on the same LAN as the server, or at least you use the same internal
DNS server for name resolution. If this isn't correct please reply
with the details.
If DNS isn't working right a lot of other things will break - that's
just a fact.
I suggest you repost with a lot more info.
