Microsoft Excahnge Remote Connection

I have exhange 5.5 and use outlook 2000 as my mail client. The problem i have is
i have a laptop and i use the offline folders to get in to outlook when im out of
the office but when i send an email the remote mail connection window opens i set
up a dial-up to my network so i can connect direct to the network but it dose not
seem to work, there was no errors but the mail does not send out or come in. I
can't see to find any thing about how to set it up. seen the thing about the
LMHOST file did that and the only way it works is if i diable my network card.
Also i Connect to my exchage server and it takes for ever to log off just becouse
of the syncing the files HELP.

When you say you set up your DUN to connect to your network and it doesn't
work seems to be to vague for actually troubleshooting. You might want to
be more specific.
Are you trying to use SMTP, logon to your server via DUN etc.

Hi -
This is becoz Outlook is unable to resolve the NETBIOS name of the Exchange
server to the IP address. Create a Host file with correct entry for the Exchange
server's NETBIOS name and IP address.
