I need a bit of help here.
I have Exchange 5.5 SP4 running Outlook Web Access via IIS4 (on an NT4 sp5
server). When I installed Exchange, I was able to get everything working
fine (smtp, pop3, domain recognition, etc) except being able to send
internet-bound mail via the OWA client. It comes back with a message
labeled "Undeliverable" and the message reads "Your message did not reach
some or all of the intended recipients." However, at the time I could
send to another mailbox on my exchange server (just not an internet
address).
I'm not sure what has changed now, but when I click the "send message" in
the compose or reply window now it comes back with a box labeled "Internet
Explorer Script Alert" and the message "Failed to send Item." with an OK
button. (This seems to have started recently - after installation of the
SP4).
I've tried to find a setting place where it directs the OWA to my SMTP
address and I've tried adjusting any email domain listings. My DNS all
seems to be correct (all standard SMTP and POP3 mail gets through no
problem - even from remote accesses), however, I just can't seem to send
internet-bound mail (and now mailbox mail) via OWA.
Does anyone have any insight to this? Please help...I'd like to be able
to offer this interface to my clients soon.
Thanks in advance,

Did it all work before SP4?
Did you upgrade your OWA box to SP4 too?

I'm sorry I assumed a few details. I do have OWA on the same box as both
Exchange 5.5sp4 and IIS 4. I know before Exchange sp4 I could at least
email another mailbox on the server (from OWA), though it still would not
do internet email from OWA. I thought I could do the mailbox to mailbox
email at least imediately after sp4, though I'm not certain. I did
download the whole sp4 and install it in full. I hope this helps you to
help me a bit.

In article <OnMe8REhAHA.1296@tkmsftngp02>, "Stan Stacker"
"Undeliverable" and
"Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients."
is the most important bit.
