I assumed it was an issue with the cached version saved locally so I went
into options and unchecked the caching but now e-mail does not open at all.
I get an error saying " cannot start microsoft office outlook. Unable to
open the outlook window. The set of folders could not be opened. The set of
folders could not be opened [line appears twice in the error] The connection
to the microaoft exchange server is unavailable. Outlook must be online or
connected to complete this action"

Thanks for the help!

Are you connected at the time? You'll need to be. Delete the OST file with
Outlook closed (search for *.ost and include hidden/system folders to find
it). Then control panel, mail, and in the properties of the Exchange server,
re-enable cached mode. Open Outlook.

Check your sync issues folder?
If you press F9, what happens?
What SP on Office/Outlook?
The folder by that name have three other folders, all empty.
> If you press F9, what happens?
It connects, gives no errors, and says "send/receive complete" and connected
in the lower right corner.
I can see my inbox but all other folder appears empty an din lower right
corner says "this folder has not yet been updated"
> What SP on Office/Outlook?
Office Outlook 2003 (11.6359.6360) SP1
And as a note I'm using XP 64.
Thanks.
