preserve plain text messages

I could not find a way to preserve plain text messages with Exchange.
I send plain text messages to Exchange addresses via davmail that
talks EWS with Exchange. If I run Microsoft Office Outlook, I can see
my message shown in fixed font, but if I click another message and
click my plain text message, I see it changed to a proportional font.
If I save the message into an MSG file, I see that it contains an HTML
version of my plain text message. I believe Exchange automatically
generates HTML versions.

Is there a way to prevent Exchange from changing my plain text
messages I send to it? I would love to see my plain text messages in
Microsoft Office Outlook as plain text messages, not as HTML
messages. Particularly, plain text messages get rendered with a fixed
font and I need fixed font in code samples.

I saw a fiery debate over the automatic conversion by Exchange in this
group starting August 10, 2007, but it showed only a weak work-around
to me. I guess I can send messages with HTML pre-formatted
counterparts under the disguise of multipart/mixed MIME type of the
aggregate message.
