Microsoft Transporter Suite - There is no such object on the server. (Exception from HRESULT 0x80072030)

Condition:

When trying to create a dominodirectoryconnector I received the
message There is no such object on the server. (Exception from HRESULT
0x80072030).

No events in the eventlog and a deepdive into processmonitor suggested
that querying several registry keys turned out the message "No name
found".

Cause:

It appeared that something is missing from the server, however the
answer is that, as in this case, the domain was a childdomain. the
user that we tried to create the domino connector with was a member of
the enterprise admins in the forest. This was apparently not enough.
To create this connector you have to be a member of the domain admins
in the root domain. enterprise admins gives you membership to the
builtin administrator account of the root domain.

Solution:

Create a user in the root domain that is a member of domain admins and
exchange organisation administrator.
Create the domino connector.
After the connector is created you can log back in with the childomain
admin user you were doing your operational tasks with and configure
the connector.

The connector is when created, running under a service using the local
system account. Change this also to a user with rights and permissions
in AD to make it work properly.
