Believe it or not, at my location no one, until now, has had any constraints
placed on their mailboxes. Subsequently, we have users in the 200MB - 550MB
range. Now that they are being limited to 50MB, I am seeing that the
Directory Store does not seem to be decreasing in size even though the
majority of mailboxes are now beneath the 50MB constraint. So, my question
is how do I reclaim the hard disk space that is no longer being used up by
the mailboxes within the directory store?

Thanks

Ummm, the DIRECTORY store? There are no mailboxes in the DIR.EDB.

Removing data from the INFORMATION store will not cause the file to
shrink. For that to happen you must run either EDBUTIL (5.0) or
ESEUTIL (5.5) with the /D switch.
