Is there a way to configure a "catch all" email address for which to capture
any email that comes in to our domain name that has no valid username?? I
would like to make sure that any email sent to the domain
*@truenorthloghomes.com that does not have a valid username in fornt of the
"@" (for example - someone misspells the username) that the message will at
least get moved to a "catch all" inbox - such as
catc...@truenorthloghomes.com or what have you...

I have heard of companies that do this and wonder if this is a difficult
thing to do. I do realize that most users will get an NDR and will
therefore hopefully resend the message but we are dealing with higher end
sales and the loss of an email being sent to a salesperson here - may mean
that customer may decide to move on instead... People expect responses
immediately any more.

Thanks, Brad

Thanks, Brad

there are solutions out there...http://www.turbogeeks.com/ is one...but just
know that this mailbox will get huge, as it keeps anything/everything...most
of which will be spam/viruses/malware...

I'm with Susan. It will be virtually unmanageable. At my last company with
80 users, we got well over a million dropped emails a month.
I would be more concerned with dropped false positive spams.

I hear you there and that is definately something I have thought of. It may
be something that we try for a bit and if it appears that there really isn't
many valid "missed" emails, then I would turn that functionality off for
sure...

Here is the "how to".
I've never done it myself, but others have.
