I am experiencing a problem trying to remove the Public Folder Database on
my Exchange 2007 server. The database is corrupt and will not mount (even
though it is in a clean shutdown state).

The error message I am getting is below:

-------------------------------------------------------
Microsoft Exchange Error
--------------------------------------------------------
The public folder database 'Public Folder Database' cannot be deleted.

Public Folder Database
Failed
Error:
The critical property 'PublicFolderHierarchy' is missing in the
PublicFolderDatabase object 'EXCH1\Second Storage Group\Public Folder
Database'.

--------------------------------------------------------
OK
--------------------------------------------------------

Is there a way to fix this so that I can successfully remove the Public
Folder Store?

You can always remove it via adsiedit.msc

That's what got me in trouble to begin with. What happened is that I used
adsiedit to remove the old Exchange 2003 server from AD (thinking it didn't
need to be in there since I no longer have any E2k3 servers). After I did
that, my PF store on the Exchange 2007 server would not mount, and I can't
seem to figure out how to fix it (or even just remove it). One of the
problems I have now is that my Outlook 2k3 clients are having problems
connecting (I guess they use Public Folders for connecting.... I'm not
sure...)

I tried doing a systemstate restore to put the AD objects back in AD (which
worked fine), but now
when I try to mount the PF store, I get "MapiExceptionADPropertyError:
Unable to mount database".

Was this ever fixed? I did the same thing :-| and can't figure out how to fix it. I'm on hold with MS right now.
