I only have 1 - default OAB - what can I do here. I see kb 842032 but that
refers to exchange 2003.
I am a small company so I would like to delete it entirely and recreate it.
Can I do this? How?
How to fix if the permissions are missing
All Global Address List permissions should be as followed:
Authenticate Users Allow Aces - "Read", "Open Address List", "List
Contents"
Exchange Servers Allow Aces - "Read", "Open Address List"
SYSTEM Allow Aces - "Read", 'Write", "Create All Child Objects",
"Delete All Child Objects", "Open Address List"
The Exchange 2003 or 2007 OAB Generation process fails to generate an
OAB and logs error 9301

Thanks for your post and also thanks for James's input.
Besides James suggestions that checking related permission, please also
restart the MSExchange System Attendant service and test the issue again.
Please check if the Default Offline Address list was not pointing to
Default GAL. If not, please point the Default Offline Address list to
default GAL.
If the issue persists, please created a NEW OAB set it as default. Do a
rebuild of the OAB and restart the MSExchange System Attendant service.
