Hi,

Suddenly, after having no isses for years, we are getting following email
messages from our SBS 2003 server (latest patch level): for all email we
send to a domain that worked before:
This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.

THIS IS A WARNING MESSAGE ONLY.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO RESEND YOUR MESSAGE.

Delivery to the following recipients has been delayed.

xx...@alaron.com

attachment text file:Reporting-MTA: dns;abc.com

Final-Recipient: rfc822;x...@alaron.com
Action: delayed
Status: 4.4.7
Will-Retry-Until: Sun, 4 Mar 2007 09:49:45 -0800
X-Display-Name: XXXXX

Researching there may be a problem with:

1) domain now uses SPF

2) Maybe my Norton Antivrus AV scanner may interfere with outbound SMTP
deliver.

Anyone can clear light to what may be the problem. Is it use the sender, or
teh receiver domain was changed recently (SPF, or so?)

Thanks,

Hello Wouter,

I'm not a great fan of the Norton products. As a test what if you disable
Norton and see if the messages start flowing. If it works then you know
the issue is with Norton.

If you are only having this issue with one domain, then you can safely
rule out your AV. As for the delay, whenever I get this issue it is
normally when my ISP messes with either my rDNS or MX record. Ask them
to look into your records and you can check your info at www.dnsstuff.com
