Exchange 5.5, NT 4.0 Server, latest Service Packs.
OK, out outbound queue seems to have a malformed message or something
that is preventing IMS from starting.
No biggie right? I completed the procedure outlined in KB article
Q165505.
I logged onto the server as "service" (I had to give the service
account log on locally rights).
Used profinst to creat a MAPI profile. 'profinst
/service=msexchangeimc /name=ADMIN /type=gateway'
Ran mdbvu32.exe from the Exchange CD-ROM.
Selected "MAPI_EXPLICIT_PROFILE" using the ADMIN account.
When the window to select Private Message Store comes up, I get this
error:
IpSession->OpenMsgStore(): ?? 8004011D
Does this mean that the service account doesn't have access to the
Message Store?!?!
I haven't found any help on Google or the KB on this issue. I can tell
it's a permission problem, but how do I resolve it?
I know that "service" has the "Service Account Admin" rights for the
whole site.
What am I missing here?

Did you try the alternate method of creating that profile, by making a
copy of one of the IMS profiles?
