Installing CDO Mapi client on Exchange 2007 on Windows 2008.

I have been deploying Exchange 2007 on Windows 2008 on a lab environement,
and now trying to test backups using Backup Exec 12.

When trying to backup the Exchange CCR cluster, I get an error message that
point me to a symantec document, wanting me to install CDO 1.2.1 and MAPI
client on the Exchange 2007/Windows 2008 servers...

Wondering if anyone has seen this issue and if this fixes it, or is there
any problems installing this on the exchange server. Always hesitante to
install a MAPI client on an Exchange server. ( PS : Not trying to backup
individual mailboxes, even though the message points to that )...

Details:

If Granular Restore Technology (GRT) backups are performed on an Exchange
2007 server that does not have Messaging Application Programming Interface
(MAPI) and Collaboration Data Objects (CDO) installed, the backups will fail
with the above error.

Yes seen it on my end; you will not be able to do single mailbox level
restores if you do not install the updated CDO\MAPI files. If you do
not need this feature you do not have to install.

I understand that, but not trying to do Brick Level mailbox backup, but
rather the hole Store & SG...

I installed the CDO on the Windows 2008 CCR nodes where the store is, but
still the same thing...

Wondering what else could it be...
