I have what must be a really simple problem that I cannot find the answer
to. We have a new installation of Exchange 2007 x64 SP1 on Server 2003 R2
x64 SP2 - all fully patched with MS updates etc.
I cannot get any Exchange specific cmdlet's to work in the power shell -
period!
For example:
PS C:\> Test-ServiceHealth
The term 'Test-ServiceHealth' is not recognized as a cmdlet, function,
operable program, or script file. Verify the term and try again.
At line:1 char:18
+ Test-ServiceHealth <<<<
If I use the Help cmdlet, I see a long list of Alias's and Cmdlet's - all
which I can use. But there are NO Exchange specific cmdlet's listed. Should
I expect to see them listed here?
I don't understand - do I need to install these seperately or something?
This is a single Exchange 2007 server running Mailbox, Cleint Access and Hub
Transport roles. The Management tools are installed and I am running the
power shell from the Exchange server. There is one other Exchange server in
our domain (Exch 2003 SP2) which we are trying to migrate from.
I must be missing something simple??
This is my first time using Power Shell. I'm trying to correct the FQDNS
name Exchange 2K7 SP1 uses when chatting to other SMTP servers :
Set-SendConnector -Identity "Internet" -Fqdn mailserver.ourcompanyname.com
Cheers in advance,
Paul.
Are you doing this from the Exchange PowerShell prompt? ( Not the
vanilla one that is installed as a pre-req to installing Exchange ))
Its accessible under the same program group as the EMC.
