Recently I have been having issues with my edgesync service. When I
enter "Start-EdgeSynchronization" on the Hub transport server it gives
me the following:

Result : CouldNotConnect
Type : General
Name : XXXXXX
FailureDetails : The LDAP server is unavailable.

I have been able to perform the synchronization in the past. I am
able to ping the edge transport server from the hub server, resolve
it's FQDN and ports 50636 and 50389 are allowed back in. I had this
issue before and I found a post in this group about recreating a new
certificate for the Hub transport server, but I am unable to find that
post. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is there a firewall between the servers? If yes, is there any way to log
denied packets? Sounds like the right traffic might not being let
through. -PC

I'm logging packets and it Start-EdgeSynchronization command is
producing no traffic. I'm sure I'm importing the edge subscription
file as I have successfully done it in the past.

Hello All,
I know it is too late now. I am testing installing Exchange 2010, in order to test migration to Exchange 365.
I have the same issue, and i took me 3 weeks just to know that I have to get all the CAS/HUB and Edge server to operate with the same version of TLS (1.2 in my case), otherwise, EdgeSync will fail with error message: "LDAP server is unavailable"

Hope this can help whoever in same situation like me.
