SMTP Connector & Open Relay question

Hi all,

In configuration an SMTP Connector, if we clear the "Allow messages to be
relayed to these domains" check box on the address space tab, then
inbound/outbound messages fail to work for the domain itself.

To leave it on is to be an open relay .... any thoughts?
