ActiveSync and Ipaq to push e-mail?

Hi, I have Exchange 2003 SP2and would like to try the push feature of
ActiveSync.

I'm a noob on this, and we don't have any Windows Mobile phones yet. Can I
use my IPAQ pocket PC via the Internet to do the same thing? I assume thats
what a phone is doing?
