We have SBS 2008 on one domain with IP 192.168.20.2
We have Windows 2008 standard with exchange 2007 on another domain
with ip 192.168.10.2
We are in one building with different subnets.
Windows 2008 standard with exchange 2007 can send mail to the SBS 2008
server with no problems. However, the SBS 2008 server cannot send to
the 2008 Standard. Messages to the standard domain get stuck in the
dnsconnectordelivery queue of the SBS server.
I can telnet to port 25 using fqdn to each server from each server.
nslookup points to the correct server on both...and I created a
receive connector on the SBS for the 2008 Standard domain mail and
it's ok. I created one on the Standard domain the same way, but
changed it to reflect the different server, but the mail is stuck in
the queue.
I am stumped.
Any help would be great...

Did you create a Send Connector to the Standard Ex2007 Server? SBS Ex2007
needs to know how to route smtp messages to the Windows 2008 box.

thanks John...I actually set that up last night and meant to update
this.
I created a send connector on the sbs (192.168.20.2) and used the
192.168.10.2 Exchange server (using FQDN) as a smart host and it
works. Now i have about 30 people off my back.
