I'm using Exchange 5.5 with SP4 installed and would like to know is it
possible to have an account which will accept or
capture all invalid address with the same domain name.
For example, an email address of "a...@microsoft.com" which is invalid / not
exist but should still be forwarded to another mailbox, say
"wrong_...@microsoft.com" .
Can anyone please advise whether this can be done?
If yes, how should I do it?
Thanks in advance.
Warmest regards,
Jack

I created a distribution list that has no members and then I add the email
addresses I want to capture onto the email addresses tab. The incoming
emails end up getting dumped because there is no valid delivery point and by
default get deleted because of that.
Couldn't you do this same thing except add wrong_...@your.domain as the
only member of the distribution list? Then the emails would end up in that
one mailbox?
I really don't know much about Exchange and am learning right now so don't
quote me on this but it makes sense in my little head.

My postmaster is a Dead Letter Box mailbox. I check that every once in a
while.
