Hi all

I'm new to managing our exchange server and was wondering
if there's anyway I can see the steps taken (through
servers etc.) when an email is sent?

Is there a log that I can view. Basically, I want to see
how many FROMs get sent when an email is sent from Outlook
client via Exchange server?

Thanks

the message tracking logs will show you that.

so you're interested in the smtp protocol? sending a message that
stays on the same server and database won't generate any smtp traffic.

use the message tracking tool in the exchange system manager and see
if it answers you need.
