Exchange 2000 Disaster Recovery

Hi All

Does anyone know how to restore an install of Exchange 2000 onto another
Windows 2000 server with a different name?

eg. Server1 with Exchange 2000 crashes and dies, restore the Exchange 2000
data onto Server2 to get everyone on the network working again.

Is it possible?

Hi,

Yes, it is possible because Exchange 2000 does not have a
dependency on the server name like Exchange 5.5 did.

You must, however, install with the same Org. Name and
storage group structure. Then make sure that you put the
old database and logfiles in the same target directory as
before.
