Ive have a problem were after i updated the value "database size limit
in GB". to 75 GB i still get a log that tells me the store is
currently bigger than the limit alocated. I have restarted the
information store service even restarted the server but i still get
the same log. How can i make sure that the information store has grown
to 75GB as i want, would anyone know???

How big is the total store size now, and do you have E2003 SP2 installed?

Hello,

I have the same problem. My database size is 19gb. I added the registry
entry to up it to 40 GB. The mail store still dismounted this morning and
had to be restarted. Here is the entry that I made per a technet article
that I found on the subject:

Under the key MSExchangeIS - <Server>
-Private-830382dd-0f68-4a5c-a1a6-5ba257c8101a I added this REG_DWORD -
Database Size Limit in GB. I set the hexidecimal value to 40.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Rob

Are you running SP2?

Yes I am. I did read an article that said that the value needs to be in
decimal. I am trying that to see if it works.

You never stated what service pack of Exchange 2003 you're running.

There's no "-" at the beginning of the "Database Size Limit in GB".

0x40 = 64 decimal. That's 24GB larger than you expected.

Restart the Information Store service and verify that the 1216 EventID
reflects your new maximum database size. If it doesn't you've got
something wrong. Either the GUID is incorrect or you're not running
SP2.

Hi - I suggest you post this as a new message - "me too!" posts are
generally frowned upon, and very few people are likely to see this. Good
luck.
