I have a Customer Service and a Tech Support Group at my company. I want to
use a single email account for both of these groups respectfully.

This is what I have done so far....

2 Email accounts created in Exchange...

c...@company.com

and

techs...@company.com

Now in Exhcange User Manager, I have created 2 groups. A CSR and a Tech
Support Group with the members assigned respectfully.

In Exchange I have the CSR email account owned by the CSR user group from
the User Manager. and the same with the the Tech Support Group....

Now here is my Question. I plan on using the POP3 Commector to retrieve the
email from the ISP accounts and route them accordingly....

BUT now in the clients machines I will config Outlook 2000 to get the mail
from the Exchange server. MY question is... lets say for this example
there are 6 people in the CSR and 2 in the Tech Support group.

Now when the CSR group logs in to Exchange in the morning will EVERYONE in
the group get the same exact mail items, if so, HOW will they know when
someoen reploes to an email and what emails are left to reply to.

I really want to use the groups this way but I need to make sure it runs
smoothly since productivity is really what I am after. I want to make sure
that this works before I go to this type of colution....

ANY input would be appreciated...

Thanks

Brian

-- Yes they will see all e-mails, unless someone goes into that mailbox
firstand deletes them. You have to have them co-ordinate with each other.
For example, If all 6 log into the mailbox and see 9 items in the Inbox and
user B reads the second message down, all of the users will see it become
'Marked as Read'. It all happens in real-time. Just come up with a simple
plan for all users to 'communicate' with each other whill they're monitoring
the mailbox

Tony,

Thanks so much for the reply.... Following what you stated... Will the
Server mark them as read ONLY if they are all using the Mailbox on the
server, instead of using the PST Box....

I think you mis-understood or I just typed it wrong. What I meant was that
the message will become unbolded.. just like when you read a message
normally - when it first comes in, the header is bolded, you read it, the
message header becomes unbolded.
