Vendor should know better than to blame Exchange. Mailbox level
backups have never, ever truncated trans logs and after 10 years, you
would think CA would know that.

You'd expect that? Really?

An Exchange aware DB level or snapshot using the exchange vss writer will
truncate the logs. A BLB (brick level backup) is typically MAPI based and
will not do this for you. CA knows better. Of course when you do a full,
the logs are truncated; that's expected. Talk to your backup vendor (CA).
