In a multi-site environment I am concerned that too many admins may know the
password to the service account and are using it to log onto the Exchange servers.

If I change the id and password of the service account what do I do to still
allow those administrators to access the servers without jepeordizing security to
Exchange?

Thank you,

Robert

Change the service account and password. Theres a very detailed white paper
in Technet to allow you to do this search "Change Exchange Serve
ice Account" should bring it up (I forget the actual words). Keep it secure
and away fron prying eyes.

What are the admins doing near Exchange Servers ? Are you able to give their
accounts the relevant admin rights over their areas of responsibility in the
structure. If so they should be using the Exchange Admin application on
their PCs.

The saying always used to be that if you were in front of a server then
you'd got problems. We haven't logged our servers on in an extreemly long
time, and see no need to.

Do NOT change "id".
Change just password of Site Service account.
