OWA 2007

Hello,
when users try to use OWA, after entering username and passsword and
selecting time zone, they receive the fllowing error message:

A problem occurred while trying to use your mailbox. Please contact
technical support for your organization.

it could be missing security permissions on the active directory. anybody
can help?

it was different reason, my mail box type is not legacy mailbox

Had the same issue. The below resolved it.
1) Open ADUC
2) Enable Advance features from the View Menu
3) Find the user and click Properties, go to the Security Tab
4) Click the Advanced button
5) Check the box next to "Inherit from parent. . . "
6) Click Apply and OK 2x

Once everything syncs the user should be good to go.

Hi,

There is a facility to access a Sharepoint server or Windows share from OWA
at the bottom left of the OWA UI (Documents). When I try to connect to a
Windows share I get various errors but the main one is:

For security reasons, Outlook Web Access is configured to prevent access to
this type of document or folder. For more information, contact technical
support for your organization.

Having read some of the help documents I noticed that from inside the org it
should be OK but from outside it cannot do.

However, trying to access the share via OWA from a computer that is part of
the domain, I still get the error.

Any ideas?
