Hello, I have an Exchange 2000 server that does not have the System Mailbox.
Mailbox store can be accessesd fine by our 250 users but when trying out
Spam Solutions we finally figured out the reason they were not working was
due to no System Mailbox which is used to fire off the trigger events in the
Spam Solution. I am on Exchange 2000 SP3 with Windows 2000 AVD SP4. Any help
would be appreciated

Are you referring to the System Attendent mailbox?
The only way to re-create that mailbox is to create and mount a new
mailbox store. Are you using Enterprise? If so, you can create a new
store and move the mailboxes over. Otherwise, you'll need to add a new
server to the org and move mailboxes over, or reinstall and restore
the IS from backup.

Yes I am using Exchange Ent. - I am not referring to System Attendant but
the System Mailbox...If you Open Active Directory Users and Groups and click
on view, then advanced...expands Exchange objects or similar - You will see
System Mailbox, mine is missing - Someone suggested stopping the Information
Store, renaming mdbdata to mdbdata.old, recreate blank mdbdata folder and
fire up IS service...Then mount the store...thus creating a System Mailbox.
Then stop IS again and delete mdbdata and rename mdbdata.old to
mdbdata...Start IS and they said that should do it...little reluctant though
and would like to know if anyone has performed this. What about the other
folders x2000 relies on? - Thanks Andy for any guidance...
