Hello,

We're using Exchange 5.5 with latest service pack on NT4 sp6.

We have a Symantec Raptor Firewall and have setup VPN access
for remote users to use Outlook through the VPN to access Exchange. Remote
users are using offline folders and synchronise with Exchange when
connected.

All this seems to work fine, if a little slow, except when there is mail
(created
offline by the remote user) in the Outbox. In this case the synchronisation
fails and produces the following message in the synchronisation log.

I've been to the Microsoft URL suggested in the message but is doesn't
help with this particular problem.

Hope someone can help.

Most broadband providers throttle the upstream throughput for user's.
Downloaded stuff is much quicker. When users have stuff to send, especially
with relatively large attachments, they are subject to timeouts, waiting for
the upload to happen. The best thing you could is ensure there are no MTU
mismatches, although these problems seem to have been remedied in the latest
MS OS's.
