Microsoft Q152855 article states information to setup a Anonymous posting
service for a public folder. The instructions however mention installing a
service from the following directory on the exchange cd

\setup\platform\sampapps\server\anon

I can't find this directory anywhere! Nor can I find any further info from
Microsoft of anywhere else. Anyone out there ever set this up or have a
clue how to?

That article refers to versions 4 and 5. You don't happen to be looking for
that on a 5.5 CD, do you?

April,

I setup a Published Public folder without those files and the anonymous
posting seems to work just fine. BTW I'm on 5.5 SR3. The only three steps
I used were:
1. Make a folder, in the "Public Folders" with Outlook 2000.
2. Got to the HTTP object under Protocols and select the Folder Shortcuts,
Using New add the folder.
3. On the same tab, select Properties->Client Permissions and change the
"Anonymous" rights to that folder so they can read and not delete.

If you forget to change the delete, the anonymous will only be able to
delete the "Push Pin Post" but not the ones that are e-mailed to the Public
Folder.

Oh ya, that was one of the neatest things was, finding out that the
Published Public Folder gets an alias that can be used for quickly e-mailing
post to the public folder.

Roger
