Hi All,
I haven't had a chance to look into this problem extensively yet.
A client of mine just reported this issue, and I wanted to get it on
the board asap.
He was having a problem where 50% of the cpu on his exchange 2000
server was being constantly used by inetinfo.exe. He restarted iis
admin, which dropped his exchange users off, he did not realize it
would do this, but I explained this was normal.
I haven't checked whether the cpu is back at 50%, waiting on an
e-mail back. I want to ask, is it normal under certain circumstances
for cpu utilization to hit and stay at 50% with inetinfo on an
exchange 2000 server? If it is not normal, what's the best method to
troubleshoot? Does anyone know of any issues and fixes? I also asked
him to reboot if it is still occuring, to see if the heavy cpu
utilization goes away.

-Thanks.

There was a bug in early versions that saw 100% CPU on inetinfo. Usually it
would be 50% on a dual processor machine because it would actually be one
thread at 100% on one processor. This bug though should be fixed it he is
at the latest SP--is he at SP3 for Exchange?

This is a dual-processor server, running sp2, not sp3. I'll peruse
the SP3 fixes, but haven't seen a fix for this issue in sp3 at first
glances.

After a reboot, Inetinfo is still constant at 50%.
