You can adjust the client notification interval. You'll need to download the
OWA admin tool.

In the registry on Exch Server:
HKLM \ System \ CurrentControlSet \ Services \ MSExchangeWEB \ OWA
REG_DWORD
NewMailNotificationInterval
<value in minutes>
You probably need to restart the IS.
Note that the default is 2 minutes. Changing the notification could
cause preformance issies and affects all the your clients.
