Ghost address???

My problem is that I am still receiving mail for an address that I have deleted.
How is that possible? (I am running Exchange 5.5)

I created the address for my mailbox for testing purposes and deleted it after
successful testing.
I can create it again without any comments from the server and then delete it
again and the problem is still there.

Can anyone help me?

What is the meaning of "receiving mail for an address"?
