hello, who can tell me what's the meaning of the next passageĄG(thanks)

The Internet Mail Service is configured to use ETRN to dequeue mail, but
203.95.230.34 (for mail.eranet.net) does not support ETRN. While this may
prevent timely delivery of inbound mail, it will not affect delivery of
outbound mail.

ETRN (Extended TURN) - an ESMTP command; provides mail spooling service for
hosts that do not have a full time connection;

ESMTP - Extended SMTP
SMTP - Simple Mail Transfer Protocol

Your server is using it to occasionally conect to ISP and fetch incoming
emails...

Absolutely. Their servers can be configured to accept mail for your
domain until an ETRN command is received. The server will then connect to
the primary MX server for your domain (which is your machine), and deliver
whatever queued messages it has at that time.

My ISP does not provide secondary MX'ing for mail. I would like to setup a
secondary mail server to accept mail for our domains in case our connection goes
down. I am running Exchange 5.5 here, but I don't think that it would make the
best ETRN server. Can someone recommend me a piece of software to use to
accomplish this? Thanks!!
