Site Connector between different organizations - how?

Hi,

We acquired a company also running Exchange 5.5 and they obviously have a
different organization name. We would like to establish a site connector
with them so we don't have to route email over the Internet between
ourselves and to add them to the global address list.

Does anyone know how to do this without doing a reinstall of Exchange? Or is
there some way to change an organization name without a reinstall?

You can not use Site connector between sites with different Org names.
There is a way to change Org name without reinstall - utility called Move Server
Wizard. It requires a lot of planning.

I just ran across an article on something called an InterOrg Synchronization
Tool which looks like it may fix half the problem, that of the GAL. Do you
have any experience with it?
