function for truncating / fixing text

I have a cell with a space, then first and last initial, sometimes only
a first initial, but no space between, then last name, then a very long
string of characters behind it. The last names are all differing
lengths as well.
Example cell looks like this:

I have multiple rows of this type of data and I need a formula or
function that will strip the cell of everything but the last name and
first initial /s
The format for the new cell is LASTNAME, FIMI
OR
KINGSLEY, JB
Any help would be appreciated...
