I am not going to be using this spreadsheet myself, so how
would I go about protecting a cell with a formula in it?.
I don't want anyone typing over the formula, because the
people who are going to use this spreadsheet don't know
anything about how to repair the formulas. Please help.

By default all cells on a worksheet are "locked for editing" when
Tools>Protection>Protect Sheet is enabled.

To "lock" just some cells......

CRTL + A to select all cells.

Format>Cells>Protection. Uncheck "locked".

Select your specific cells on the worksheet and Format>Cells>Protection.
Checkmark "locked".

Now Protect the Worksheet.
