Greetings,
I'm receiving the following error when attempting to
run an Advanced Filter: "The extract range has a missing
or illegal field name".
I have referenced article #Q173112, but this article
states that this error does not occur in Excel 2000. I
am, however, receiving this error message in that version
of Excel. Can anyone guide me in the right direction?
Could this be caused by the one of the columns in the
first row being blank?

Thanks in advance,

Sherwood

Hi,
Here is what fixed my problem...
I had one column with a heading. Using advanced filter I extracted
unique values to a non-adjacent column. All of a sudden I started
getting the error. When I played around with it I noticed that if I
deleted the heading from the destination column it worked.

Range("C10:C" & lasttablerow).AdvancedFilter Action:=xlFilterCopy,
CriteriaRange:= _
Range("C10:C" & lasttablerow), CopyToRange:=Range("e10"), Unique:=True

I'm not sure why, because I run the same code in another section and
it ran fine. I don't think I've seen the last of this, so let me know
if you get a better answer.

thanks
peter
