I want to multiply a number (that changes from cell to
cell) by a constant number and place the answer in place
of the changing number in the cell. For example: in cell
L16 I key in 16.68. I want to multiply it by 2.0387500 and
replace 16.68 with the new answer.
I have tried several formulas along with a circular
reference and cannot get it to work. I've tried linking
the 2.038 number to cell L16 and still doesn't work.

Enter 2.0387500 in an empty cell. Copy it. Now select the data you want
affected. Go to Edit > Paste Special and select Multiply. Click OK.
