median function in PivotTable???

About a year ago, I posed this question here and on the
VBA newsgroup. Respondents both said, No can do. Thought

Pivot tables include rudimentary stats functions, like
min, max, average, but strangely DO NOT include Median, a
common stats function that I need constantly. There are
workarounds but having median in pivot would be excellent!
Do you know a way to include median in pivot table??????
I'm guessing VBA.
