I am looking for a formula that will allow me to insert
specific page numbers into the footer of my worksheet. I
have a start number 1-21898 and I need this number to be
inserted into the footer and continue sequentially for 178
pages. How does this get accomplished? I need this
answer asap, Thanks.

See answer to your post in another group.

Please don't post the same message to multiple groups. It just fragments
your answers and potentially wastes the time of those replying to a
question that has already been answered.

Hi
how do you want to sequence??
1-21898
2-21898
...

or
1-21898
1-21899
...

In both case just go into 'File - Pagesetup - Header/Footer'. And
insert either
&[page] - 21898
or
1 - &[page]

for the second one you also have to change the starting page number in
the first tab of the pagesetup dialog (starting number)

I am looking for a way to insert a specific page number
into the footer of my excel document. The number that I
need to start with is 1-21898. There are 178 pages to
this document. If I could get a response to this asap,
that would be great. Thanks
