I am tracking how many phone calls I make per hour. The cell for hours is
in [h]:mm format and the formula divides the time by the total number of
peole I contact. I seem to be having a conflict e.g. numbers and time.

The formula Im using is =IF(D10<>"",D10/D4,"") where D10 is the number of
people and D4 is the time spent.

Do you know of a solution or should I track my time (D4) in "Number" Format
instead of "[h]:mm" Format?

Times are stored as a fraction of a 24 hour day, regardless of how you have
the cell formatted. Multiply the time by 24 hour before using it in
calculation.

=D10/(D4*24)
