You'll have to treat the data as strings (watch the word wrap):
=IFERROR(LEFT(A1,FIND(".",A1))&MID(A1,FIND(".",A1)+1,LEN(A1)-FIND(".",A1))+
1,A1)
There's probably better ways to do it, but this works for me.
