Can anyone help. I am using excel 2007.

I am unable to save any templates, its simply not an option. I click the
round Office button in the top LH corner, select "save as" but save as
templates is simply not there! It is in word. I seem to be able to open pre
installed templates but not save my own.

Any ideas

Sorry..........should read Save As>Excel Workbook>File Type

AH! I have exactly the same problem! This is really frustrating. I even went
to save options and chose Excel template as the defalt and nothing. If you
figure it out plase let me know. I really need to save some formats my boss
is sending me.

Try Save As...other formats...and in that list there's excel template .xltx
Worked for me just now!
The new template I saved appears in the 'my templates' section when I open a
new workbook.
