Hi Everyone!

Has anyone used the Microsoft Excel ODBC Driver? I'm basically trying to
port data from a worksheet into SQL Server tables. Can I issue SQL queries
against this driver? I'm currently having a bit of a problem with the
syntax, but can't find any help on it. Is this the best way to do this?
The data on a sheet needs to be traversed in a 'specific' order. I'm also
trying to do this without launching Excel itself, or is that not possible?
I've also heard that I can instantiate an Excel Worksheet object and access
the data that way.

Any help is much appreciated as I am a bit new to these software components.

Thanks!

The best way that I have found to import data from a worksheet to a table is to
use the import procedures in SQL. what you do in right click inside the database
that you want to import data and go down to the import export selection and
follow the steps after you select it.
