Printing lines on spreadsheet

Hi -
I am trying to print my spreadsheet such that there will be a horizontal
line between each row and no vertical lines on the page.
I've been selecting the entire relevant portion of the spreadsheet,
selecting the bottom border (only) under Format -> Cells.

When it prints I get either no lines at all, or all grid lines when box is
checked in Page Setup -> Sheet.
I have a feeling I'm overlooking something very basic. I'm using Excel 2000.
Any suggestions???

Cannot duplicate your problem on either Epson Stylus 800 or Canon DeskJet 200.
Gridlines set to not show. Borders under each row of cells. Prints as
desired.
What does you Print Preview show? This sounds more like a Printer problem
than an Excel problem.
