I need to take a column of numbers and have them displayed either in a cell
or word document with a comma and space between each number.

I would use a help column. Say A1 thru A10 has:
97
316
373
258
368
116
289
390
42
63
in B1, enter:
=A1
In B2, enter:
=B1 & ", " & A2 and copy down. In B10 we see:
97, 316, 373, 258, 368, 116, 289, 390, 42, 63
