Sub DisableReviewingToolbar()
Application.CommandBars("Reviewing").Enabled = False
End Sub
Before doing so, consider creating a copy of the Reviewing toolbar (giving
it a similar name, like "Reviewing Custom") so that you don't lose the
features associated with comments and tracking. You can do this relatively
easy:
1. Click View-->Toolbars-->Reviewing to display the toolbar
2. Click Tools-->Customize...
3. On the Toolbars Tab, Click New...
4. Type a name for the toolbar (ex: Reviewing Custom) and Click OK
5. Hold the CTRL key and drag each button from the original Reviewing
toolbar to the newly created one.
Using the CTRL key will copy the button rather than move it.
Tip: To create a separator-thin vertical line between buttons-drag a
button slightly (about 1/4") to the right.
6. Hide both the toolbars and close the Customize dialog.
7. Run the above macro and exit Excel tosave the toolbar changes.
